Data Source and Calculation
The percent of all tax returns and payments filed electronically. This metric is reported using stats that are manually tracked comparing the paper returns and check to electronic payments and returns. The goal is to increase this percentage as the cost of electronic transactions is much lower than paper transactions. This is a new performance measure and FY14 will be used to establish the baseline. The target is to increase electronic usage by 5 percent in FY16.
